- Chinese function: harmonises Middle Jiao, calms mind, supports Qi and Shen
Peppermint (Mentha piperita)
- Cooling, refreshing, clearing
- Chinese function: disperses Wind-Heat, moves Qi, opens sensory orifices
Pine (Pinus sylvestris)
- Strengthening, clearing, fortifying
- Chinese function: tonifies Qi, clears Damp, supports Lung and Heart function
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)
- Relaxing, emotionally balancing
- Chinese function: nourishes Blood, calms Shen, harmonises emotional flow
Plant-Based Base:
- Cocoa Butter — Absorbs quickly into top layer of skin, beneficial for dry cracked skin. Treats and prevents stretch marks, helps improve skin elasticity. Anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties.
- Mango Butter — excellent emollient, reported to reduce wrinkles and other signs of ageing. Rich in vitamin E. Antioxidant and rejuvenating activities which can help restore the impaired barrier function of the skin.
- Berry Wax & Myrica Fruit Wax — imparts a nice skin feel to balms, adds texture, body (without greasiness).
- Sweet Almond Oil — able to form a protective layer over the skin, helping to retain moisture and prevent trans epidermal water loss.
- Vitamin E — protects healthy cells from damage by free radicals
