Our specially formulated "Respiratory Boosting" Massage Blendof Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Peppermint & Thyme: Is a good way of strengthening the body's respiratory system. And clearing the air passages. 
 
Our respiratory system is made up of the throat, nose, windpipe & lungs. It filters out everyday toxins and is working hard each day to bring us the cleanest oxygen. Maybe you have noticed more mucus in the throat with nasal congestion or dryer membraines in the nose and feeling stuffy?
 
If your lungs are congested and you are having difficulty breathing or suffering from other common symptoms like coughing and wheezing, then essential oil blends can help by reducing this inflammation, destroying any pathogens and relieve your breathing. 
 
However, if your lung congestion doesnt clear, this may be a sign of a more serious underlying condition. If you are in any way concerned, please speak to your doctor.
 
When massaging essential oil blends in through the skin,  their healing components are absorbed into the bloodstream. From there they disperse to the specific organs and systems on which they work. Some of the essential oils’ components, carried via the bloodstream, can also pass through the blood-brain barrier to the limbic system in the brain, where they can influence the endocrine and autonomic nervous systems.
 
We use essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. As it enhances both the physical and emotional body.
 
Please note that differnt % dillution are used in our blends to be used for each age-group, e.g for Adult 3% dillution, Teenages 2% dillution,  - only to be used on the body, NOT on the face as skin in this area is too delicate.  
If you would like a blend for a child please contact us and we can make a specific safe blend to your childs needs, as childrens skin is very delicate and due to there body weight/size we have to be very careful when appling essential oils....as many are contra-indicated due to toxicity in children.

    Eucalyptus:

    • Properties: Uplifting, clearing, refreshing, stimulating, decongesting.
    • Actions:  antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericidal,   expectorant,  haemostatic.
    • Respiratory System – Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, laryngitis, throat & mouth infections.
    • Chinese medicine function: To raise Yang Qi, cool the Lung, release the exterior and strengthen the spirit.
    • Pharmacology: This oil is dominated by the restorative, oxygenating constituents 1,8 cineole and monoterpenes ; these are balanced by relaxant monoterpenols.
    • Contra Indications = Incompatible when taking homeopathic treatments as counteracts the effects

    Frankincense:

    • Properties: Uplifting, restoring, centering.
    • Actions: Anti-inflammatory, cytophylactic, expectorant, haemostatic, relaxing, tonic,  
    • Respiratory System – Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, laryngitis.
    • Immune System – Colds & flu. Used in Cancer care.
    • Contra Indications = No known contraindications.

    Peppermint:

    • Properties: Stimulating, uplifting, invigorating & energizing.
    • Actions: Analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, carminative, cephalic, cooling, expectorant, febrifuge, stimulant, stomachic, tonic, uplifting, vasoconstrictor.
    • Respiratory System – cooling chest rub to relieve congestion (when diluted with a carrier oil) clear the nasal passageway & encourage easy breathing.                                             
    •  Contra Indications = Incompatible when taking homeopathic treatments as counteracts the effects. Not to be taken late in the day/evening by insomniacs since it refreshes the mind, waking you up.

    Thyme:

    • Properties: Motivating and confidence building
    • Actions: Anthelmintic, antimicrobial, antispasmodic, antitussive, bactericidal, expectorant,  revulsive, stimulant (immune system, circulation), sudorfic, tonic. 
    • Respiratory System – Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, laryngitis, sinusitis, soar throat, tonsillitis.
    • Immune System – Chills colds, flu, infectious diseases.
    • Contra Indications = Use in moderation, in low dilution, can irritate mucous membranes. Avoid during pregnancy
